YEREVAN. – The ceasefire agreement in Nagorno-Karabakh will continue to operate, despite temporary escalations, the director for the Center of Military Forecasting at the Moscow Institute of Political and Military Analysis Anatoly Tsyganok told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

One of the factors contributing to the strict adherence to the ceasefire regime is a sharp reduction in Azerbaijani financial resources, noted the expert.

“Azerbaijan used to buy weapons without any problems, now it is a big problem for Azerbaijan,” Tsyganok explained, adding that the provocation that Baku staged in April 2016 will not repeat in the near future.

According to the expert, Turkey is also not interested in the new aggravation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Ankara supports Baku, and Moscow, in its turn, supports Yerevan. Russia and Turkey formed an alliance, which will prevent a new war in Nagorno-Karabakh, as they do not want to spoil relations with each other.

“This time Turkey will not allow Azerbaijan to start a new war in the region,”said Anatoly Tsyganok.
