Microbiologist Garabed Antranikian, Armenian by origin, was appointed president of Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). He will start his job officially from April 1.
Well-known microbiologist Garabed Antranikian comes originally from Jordan, got education in Beirut and has been working in Germany.
Hamburg University of Technology founded in 1980 is one of the youngest and the most successful universities of Germany. An average of 5,000 students study in TUHH. Around 100 senior lecturers and 1,150 members of staff work at the university.
