YEREVAN. - Armenia is ready to receive the summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) [and which capital city Yerevan will host].

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Secretary General Vahagn Melikyan, who also heads the working group on holding this summit, stated about the aforesaid at a press conference on Tuesday.

On October 7, the activities of this summit will get underway with the session of the OIF Permanent Council.

From October 8 to 9, the foreign ministers will meet.

On October 9, the Francophonie “village” will open at Liberty Square. Youth Day will be celebrated on the same day. The “village” will be open until October 12.

On October 10, the business forum will be held.

On October 11, a gala concert will be held at Republic Square.

On October 11 and 12, the actual summit will be convened. 

The media will be informed of the summit results at a final press conference.

The OIF summit in Yerevan will bring together the presidents and prime ministers of more than 40 countries, and a total of 3,500 guests will arrive in Armenia within the framework of this event.
