YEREVAN. – Citizens don't violate the order, this is an urgent demonstration, Armenian Chief of Police Valeri Osipyan told reporters in front of the building of the Armenian parliament on Tuesday evening.

He said he walked along the area and made sure the demonstration is peaceful.

“I was just worried, there is a crowd. The situation is calm, normal, the people are expressing their will, there are police officers at every corner. No one is violating public order. There is an ongoing demonstration in accordance with the law on freedom of assembly,” said.

Chief of Police said there were no alarm calls from the people inside the parliament’s building.

“Police do everything to prevent sabotage and clashes,” he said.
