A boat carrying illegal immigrants from Somalia capsized near the northern coast of Mozambique.

At least 50 illegal immigrants and the captain of the ship were killed.

The incident, which only became famous now, occurred on February 5. There were 129 people - 89 Somalis and 40 Ethiopians on board the Tanzanian ship.

The survivors were transferred to a refugee center in Nampula in northern Mozambique, Newsru.com reports.

Mozambique is a “port” for immigrants from Somalia, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and China, who are seeking to get to South Africa, which has the highest quality of life in all of the African countries.
