Five people were killed, at least 26 injured in Serbia as train slammed into a bus carrying mostly high school students on Friday, AP reported.

“Initially, police said that three people were killed and 22 injured. But authorities later confirmed that two more people died in a hospital and that at least 26 people were injured,” the source noted.

The bus was reportedly cut in half, while the train partly slid off the tracks.

The investigation has been launched as a result of the accident.
