Ph.D. of Law from University of Latvia Nikolai Zykov shot 42-year old senior bank manager Citadele Aigars Egle in a movie theater in the Riga, RBC reports.
According to Latvian media, the university professor used a gun that he owned and carried legally.
Eyewitness said that the dislike between the two arose immediately. From the very beginning of the show lawyer and banker began to argue because the later was eating popcorn too loudly, but then the quarrel subsided. After the end of the show fighting resumed, and soon shots were fired.
According to one of the police officers involved in detaining N. Zykov, the suspect behaved indifferently and did not resist. His psychiatric examination will establish his guilt.
The accused refuses to testify or disclose the motive.
