WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s cat, the fate of which was a matter of concern for foreign mass media outlets following Assange’s arrest, has been found. The embassy of Ecuador reported that the cat had left Assange a long time ago, but its whereabouts were unknown, reports BBC.

A video showing Assange’s cat James watching a video of its owner being apprehended has been posted on WikiLeaks Twitter page.

Assange was arrested in London. He is charged with the conspiracy act of stealing and publishing confidential government documents along with WikiLeaks informer Chelsea Mening and may face up to 5 years in prison.

Assange’s followers on social media websites were particularly concerned about the cat.
