There are dozens of complaints addressed to mass media outlets. This is what Levon Barseghyan, attorney of former MP Manvel Grigoryan, told journalists today as he touched upon the campaign to engage mass media outlets in judicial procedures that has become active recently.

According to him, the ones suing mass media outlets for their actions are most often representatives of various religious currents, the incumbent authorities and the judicial authorities. “If all this is really targeted against the work of mass media outlets and is aimed at intimidating them and if it’s an attempt to force them to keep quiet, they won’t succeed,” Baghdasaryan stated, adding that if it was impossible to repress mass media outlets when Armenia had a presidential system of governance, now it is almost unreal.
