Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received today the delegation led by Lieutenant Governor of California Eleni Kounalakis, including member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Kathryn Barger, Senator of the State of Colorado Dominick Moreno, member of the House of Representatives of the State of Colorado Daneya Esgar, Senators of the State of Arizona Paul Boyer and Otoniel Navarete and members of the Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region.

As reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, welcoming the guests to Armenia, Minister Mnatsakanyan stated that the relations with the United States have been and remain one of Armenia’s foreign policy priorities. The parties positively assessed the recent dynamics of the friendly and partnering ties between Armenia and the United States.

The parties highly appreciated the role that the large Armenian community of California, which makes its contributions to public and political life in California and serves as a unique bridge for the strengthening of relations between Armenia and the United States.

Armenia’s foreign minister touched upon the latest developments in Armenia, the course of implementation of the government’s reforms and the country’s foreign policy priorities. Minister Mnatsakanyan presented Armenia’s fundamental position on and approaches to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
