Former First Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia Artak Asatryan was appointed yesterday acting General Secretary of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

Artak Asatryan was born on July 5, 1982 in Yerevan.

He has studied at Yerevan State University, the State Management Academy of Armenia and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. He has served as Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia, held different offices in the Ministry of Justice and the Office of the Human Rights Defender and is a member of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia.

He is married, knows Russian and English.
