A total of 132 people were taken from Hurghada to Yerevan on July 26, and 183 Armenian citizens on July 29, said Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan during the Armenian Government’s meeting on Thursday.
According to him, 109 Armenian citizens are still in Hurghada. Today they will arrive at Yerevan at 2:25 pm via Taron Avia airline.
Over 100 Armenian citizens were stuck in Egypt due to the cancellation of the Hurghada-Yerevan flight in Egypt on July 25. The flight was canceled due to the non-fulfillment of financial obligations by the Armenian tour operator. A total of 47 million drams were allocated from the budget reserve fund of the Cabinet for the return of Armenian citizens to their homeland.
