We hope construction of the vehicle customs office in Gyumri enlivens economic life in the city. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page.
“Armenia has three customs points on the Georgian-Armenian border. The Bagratashen customs point is overloaded, and the Bavra and Gogavan customs points are not overloaded.
Upon the decision of the government, AMD 181,000,000 and 21.5 ha of land have been allocated to the State Revenue Committee to build a vehicle customs office and a center for foreign economic activity in Gyumri.
We hope this enlivens economic life in Gyumri.
We must also balance the works of the three customs offices with such decisions.
In this regard, it is important for the government to allocate funds for renovation of the Gyumri-Bavra road. Our Georgian colleagues have started renovating the Ninotsminda-Bavra sector.
An agreement has also been reached to renovate the Gugut sector of the Armenian-Georgian border,” wrote Pashinyan.
