The Arab coalition launched airstrikes on Sunday against the positions of the Yemeni separatists from the Southern Transitional Council (SPS) in the city of Aden, a Yemeni military source reported.

Earlier, Al-Arabiya TV channel reported referring to the sources in the coalition that the Yemeni separatists retreated from the positions under their control.

According to the source, coalition aviation launched airstrikes at the Maashik presidential palace and the Jebel Hadid district in Aden.

Earlier, the country urged the parties to the conflict that erupted in Aden on Sunday night to hold emergency talks in the kingdom. Later, Yemeni separatists agreed to a ceasefire, responding to coalition calls.
