Police used tear gas against demonstrators gathered at a police station in the Sham Shui Po area, Reuters reported.

Thousands of demonstrators flooded the streets of Hong Kong on Sunday, blocking traffic, preparing for a likely confrontation with the police, reports PA.

Many of the protesters put on masks. The faces of some are hidden by helmets.

Demonstrators gathered along Victoria Harbor put on protective gas masks. People also gathered near the police station near the fortified city of Kowloon.

Among the police, there are also people in gas masks.

Hong Kong protests last for ten weeks. Residents demand the repeal of the law on the extradition of criminals to China and the resignation of city leader Carrie Lam.
