Four people were killed, eight people are reported missing as a result of a tunnel collapse in southwestern China, the Associated Press reported.

Water poured out of the tunnel during repairs in Lincang City, Yunnan Province on Tuesday at around 6 p.m. local time.

Thirteen workers were trapped in the tunnel.

Authorities said they managed to find five, but only one survived from them, who was hospitalized. His condition is stable.

Missing people are searched with the help of dogs and special equipment, but the conditions in the tunnel make it difficult to find.
