Protests are taking place all over Georgia amid the death of a 15-year-old Luka Siradze, who jumped from the ninth floor after having twice been interrogated by the police, News-Georgia reported.
Lawyer, his mother and human rights activists accuse the police of pressure on the teenager.
According to them, he was required to admit commiting hooliganism in a private Green School, which he had not attended since October. The guards complained to the police that someone had entered the territory of the educational institution at night and made several graffiti.
Last night the protest rally began near the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and this morning it is taking place near the parliament, the State Chancellery, the Green School building, where an incident happened.
The same actions took place in Batumi, Gori, Zugdidi, Rustavi and Kutaisi. The rallies were accompanied by clashes with the police, which did not allow the protesters to inscribe on the buildings of state institutions and in the adjacent territory.
