One of New Zealand’s richest and most respected entrepreneurs, Sir Ron Brierley, was detained at Sydney Airport on charges of possession of child pornography, 7news reported. 

Entrepreneur, 82, is the founder of one of the largest corporations in the history of the country - R A Brierley Investments.

Sir Brierley was detained at the airport on Tuesday when he was about to fly to Fiji.

According to NSW Police, detectives from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the possession of child abuse material in the local area in August.
