Three people were injured after masked gunmen fired at a street in Besancon, France, France Bleu reports.

Reportedly, three or four people had fired shots.

One of the injured is in critical condition, as several bullets struck this person’s chest. Another person was injured in the thigh, but the injury is not life-threatening.

Police found 15 gun shells and a hand grenade at the scene.

The Besancon prosecutor's office has launched an investigation.
