French rescuers and police evacuated 140 people from the Ferris wheel in Roanne due to a massive outage in the city, TASS reported referring to Le Progrès.

At 7pm several central districts was in darkness, and the power supply was restored only after 15 minutes. During this time, rescuers and policemen who arrived at the scene were evacuating citizens from the Ferris wheel, which, despite the engines being turned off, continued to rotate by inertia for some time.

The reason for such a massive outage is not reported. Information about accidents have not been received from network operators.
