The world's first wooden stadium wil be built in the English county of Gloucestershire for the Forest Green Rovers football club, the architectural bureau Zaha Hadid reported.

The Ecopark Stadium is designed for five thousand seats and will operate on renewable ('green') energy sources. The arena will be built for the football team, which, according to FIFA, cares most about the environment - Forest Green Rovers. Its players even switched to a vegetarian diet to reduce the negative impact on nature.

The current team's stadium is watered with recycled rainwater, while solar panels are used to power the spotlights. The lawn on the field is trimmed by an automatic lawnmower that uses GPS technology. Mowed grass is given to local farmers for composting.
