The Israeli army on Saturday struck the military infrastructure of the Palestinian radical Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip in response to attacks on the territory of the Jewish state, TASS reported referring to Israel Defense Forces tweet.
"Rockets, mortars, and explosives were fired from Gaza into Israel today. In response, our fighter jets just struck Hamas terror targets in Gaza. We hold Hamas responsible and will continue operating against any attempt to harm Israeli civilians."
On Friday, the Israeli army reported that Palestinian radicals from the Gaza Strip fired eight mortar shells and missiles at Israel, four of which were intercepted by an air defense system.
