YEREVAN. – Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received China's Ambassador to Armenia Tian Erlong to discuss the situation over coronavirus outbreak.
The Ambassador presented the latest data and said the situation as complicated, but is under control and is stable. The Chinese side expects that the situation would improve in a week, he added.
Tian Erlong noted that the issue is under immediate control of the Chinese leadership, there is greater cohesion in the fight against coronavirus, and considerable human and material resources have been used to solve the problem. The country is also actively working with international partners, and work is underway to create the vaccine.
Armenian Deputy PM thanked Ambassador for providing comprehensive information. He presented Armenia's efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus and noted that an interdepartmental committee was set up under his leadership.
Tigran Avinyan praised China's effective moves and expressed opinion that the situation would improve shortly. He also noted importance of China's quick response, transparency and efforts to work with international community.
Deputy PM added that Armenia is ready to support friendly people of China by all possible means.
