Former leader of the World Trade Organization and ex-Prime Minister of New Zealand Mike Moore has died at the age of 71, reports The Guardian.
He died at his home in Auckland early on Sunday, his wife Yvonne Moore said.
He was the head of the World Trade Organization from 1999 to 2002. He has had a long political career in New Zealand, but served as the country’s Prime Minister for just two months in 1990 before he was defeated in an election.
Moore was New Zealand’s Ambassador to the United States for five years, but he resigned before suffering a stroke in 2015.
