YEREVAN. – The bomb alert on the roof of the Abovyan police building was false. The Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of the Republic of Armenia informed this.

As reported earlier, on February 3, at 12:21pm, a 911 emergency hotline was reported that a bomb had been planted on the roof of the Abovyan city police building in Kotayk Province of Armenia.

One firefighting squad, a special rescue squad, and one bomb squad have left for the scene.

"It turned out that the alarm was false," the respective MES statement reads, in particular. "Nothing dangerous has been found."
