Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovenia to Armenia Tomaž Mencin (residence in Kiev) today presented his Letters of Credence to President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian.

President Sarkissian congratulated the Ambassador on assuming office, wished him success and expressed certainty that he will contribute to further strengthening of the Armenian-Slovenian ties through his active efforts.

In his turn, Ambassador Mencin stated that he will put in all his efforts for further deepening and strengthening of the cooperation between the two countries.

Attaching importance to the intensification of cooperation, the President said the trade and economic relations between the two countries aren’t well-developed yet and don’t correspond to the existing potential, yet there is great potential to advance them.

The interlocutors shared the view that both countries can cooperate successfully in the fields of education, science and the latest technologies, particularly digitization and artificial intelligence.
