The inter-agency commission coordinating the activities to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Armenia today held a regular session chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, as reported Avinyan’s Office.
Avinyan stated that the participants of the session will discuss the current coronavirus situation and the preventive actions that have already been taken, touch upon the issues that citizens of Armenia having expressed the desire to return from China face in Armenia and consider the need for future actions. Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan presented the overall situation, the efforts being made with international partners and the activities that the Embassy of Armenia in China is carrying out to support citizens of Armenia round-the-clock.
Minister of Healthcare Arsen Torosyan presented the preventive actions that are being taken and the steps that are being taken to raise public awareness. He also stated that Armenia expects to receive another 200 diagnostic tests from the World Health Organization. The Deputy Prime Minister assigned to explore the opportunity to provide support to the citizens of Armenia in China as soon as possible.
