Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent telegrams of condolence to President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and Premier of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang on the occasion of the outbreak of the coronavirus, as reported the Office of the Prime Minister.
The telegram of condolence addressed to the President of the People’s Republic of China reads as follows:
“At this difficult moment for China, on behalf of the Armenian people and myself, allow me to express deep condolences to and solidarity with you and the friendly Chinese people on the occasion of the outbreak of the coronavirus which has already taken the lives of hundreds of people.
Throughout its history spanning centuries, China has resisted several challenges and trials and tribulations and has always overcome them with honor. We are certain that China will succeed in overcoming the grave consequences of this catastrophe and restore the atmosphere of peace and safety this time again under a wise and prudent leader like yourself.
I wish you steadfast patience and persistence and wish the friendly Chinese people courage.”
The telegram of condolence addressed to the Premier of China states the following:
“On behalf of the Armenian people and myself, I express deep condolences to and solidarity with you and the friendly Chinese people on the death of several hundreds of people caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus. I am certain that the actions that the Chinese government is taking under your leadership will allow China to overcome the grave consequences of this catastrophe and get things back on track.
I wish you strength and determination and wish the friendly Chinese people patience and endurance.”
