During its plenary session, the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan gave consent to ratification of the agreement on recognition of official documents in the form of exchange of notes, confirming the residency granted by the competent bodies of Kazakhstan and Armenia within the scope of the Convention between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital, as reported Kazpravda.kz.

“The agreement is a bilateral international treaty and is concluded for the purpose of establishing a simplified procedure for recognition of official documents that confirm the residency granted by the competent bodies of Kazakhstan and Armenia,” Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov said during the plenary session, adding that the procedure will allow taxpayers of both countries to submit a document certifying residency to the tax agent.
