President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today received Khazhak Galstyan, Hamlet Mikayelyan and Levon Muradyan (members of the team of students of Yerevan State University who participated in the International Collegiate Programming Contest), as well as trainer Albert Sahakyan and Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics at Yerevan State University Vahram Dumanyan.

The team of Yerevan State University made it to the final after competing with students of more than 3,000 universities of 110 countries.

Congratulating the students on their achievement, President Sarkissian wished success and more victories and stated that they need to work hard for that.

The dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics said the team will participate in the final in June 2020 in Moscow, expressed gratitude to the President of Armenia and stated that his consideration motivates the students.

President Sarkissian talked about the ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) Program, which will be targeted at the development of science and technologies. Within the scope of this program, there are already initial agreements on cooperation with several leading technology companies around the world in the fields of development of artificial intelligence, mathematical modeling and more.
