Today, 37 deputies of the National Assembly of Armenia, who are mainly from the My Step faction, have placed into circulation a bill on making an amendment to Article 213 of the Constitution, the sole purpose of which is to impose termination of the powers of all members of the Constitutional Court elected prior to April 2018. This is what co-chair of the National Agenda Party Avetik Chalabyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“This is an extremely irresponsible and dangerous act and may lead to the overthrow of constitutional order, along with all of the negative consequences.

The National Agenda Party will touch upon this act in more detail soon. Until then, I call on the authors of this nonsensical initiative to not go on this adventure and not put social stability and constitutional order at risk,” he stated.
