President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian hasn’t signed the law on bank secret and has addressed the Constitutional Court, as reported the news service of the Staff of the President of Armenia.
“The laws on making amendments and a supplement to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and on bank secret, adopted on January 22, 2020 and submitted to the President of Armenia for signing, are prima facie problematic from the perspective of constitutionality. The President of Armenia hasn’t signed those laws and has addressed the Constitutional Court with legal justifications and arguments with the request to determine the compliance of those laws with the Constitution,” the press release reads.
