YEREVAN. – The Armenian humanitarian group has been on a mission in Syria for a year now. From February 8, 2019, to February 8, 2020, its sappers have demined 126,000 square meters of land there, of which about 91,000 square meters were transferred to Aleppo Governorate authorities.
According to the Facebook of the Armenian Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise, over the course of this one year, physicians from this humanitarian group have provided medical assistance to 10,114 patients, and 1,354 laboratory studies were performed in Syria.
During this time, Armenian specialists have organized dozens of training courses in Aleppo on mine hazard awareness and first aid.
Also, the Armenian Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise has carried out humanitarian actions, collected gifts, and passed them on to Syrian children.
The doctors of this humanitarian group provide the necessary medication to the Aleppo hospital.
In 2019, demining activities were carried out in Armenia as well.
