YEREVAN. – In the previous parliament there was a group of MPs—MPs with a business reputation, nicknamed—and, traditionally, they used to occupy the top ten of the absentees from the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia. Lusine Vasilyan, head of the NA Monitoring Program, stated this at today's press conference, presenting the report on the results of their monitoring of the 3rd session of the NA of the 7th convocation.

According to her, the deputies included in the interparliamentary delegations and who are going on a lot of business trips are among the top ten absentees in this parliament.

"During the 3rd session, (...) Arusyak Julhakyan from [the majority] My Step [faction] was the most absent", she added. "[Prosperous Armenia Party leader and tycoon MP] Gagik Tsarukyan, who was on our list of the most absent MPs for 8 years, has left the first spot and has become the 8th most absent MP."
