YEREVAN. – Works are underway to organize Yerevan-Los Angeles direct flights. Tatevik Revazian, Chair of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, stated this in response to the question of National Assembly (NA) Vice Speaker Alen Simonyan during the February 13 NA sitting debates on the issue of ratification of the air communication agreement between the Armenian and Jordanian governments.
But she admitted that they are more in touch with Georgia on the issue.
"The flow from Armenia is not enough to organize a direct flight to Los Angeles," Revazian added. “One weekly flight is not effective; you need at least 2-3 [weekly] flights. It's just that they [Georgia] are interested in the New York, we—in Los Angeles direction."
