Tomorrow is the deadline for the nomination of candidates for rector of Yerevan State University. There are five candidates, and one of them is Rector of Artsakh State University Pavel Gevorgyan. This is what Director of the YSU Student Affairs Center Vahagn Varagyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In an earlier interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am, Dean of the Chair of Oriental Studies at Yerevan State University Ruben Melkonyan had said he might run in the elections for rector.

According to presses, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan wanted former Deputy Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan to assume the office of rector of Yerevan State University, but Gabrielyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that he doesn’t want to.
