YEREVAN. – Jon Farkhoyan, the former head of the Yerevan Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, will remain in freedom; the court denied the appeal of the Prosecutor's Office. His lawyer Roman Aharonyan confirmed this information to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Farkhoyan is accused of giving a large bribe to now former chairman of the Urban Development Committee, Vahagn Vermishyan.

Earlier, the National Security Service press service had informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that Farkhoyan had been released on bail.
