Libyan troops resumed bombing of the rebel-held city of Misurata on May 8.

Meanwhile, according to the insurgents, the city’s food and water supplies will be enough for no more than a month.

Humanitarian aid to the city is still hampered due to attacks on the port of Misurata by forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi, Lenta.ru reports.

The rebels says they need new weapon that would change the alignment of forces. So far, no country has agreed to supply arms to Misurata, despite rebels’ requests.
