Prime Crime Russian website reports that 'thief in law' Rafik Amoyan, who was known in the criminal world as 'Yazidi Raf' or 'Raf Krasnodarsky', has died from cirrhosis in Yerevan. He was 57 years old.

With several sentencings, Rafik Amoyan, who was originally from Yerevan and of Yazidi nationality, was crowned in his homeland in 1988.

The last time Rafo was sentenced was under the verdict of the Pervomaysky Court of Krasnodar for a term of five-and-a-half years for illicit circulation of narcotics. Rafo served his punishment in Bashkortostan and Ulyanovsk region, including in the prison of Dimitrovgrad from which he was released in 2014.

In 2016, 'Yazidi Rafo' was expelled from Ukraine to Armenia where he lived until the last days of his life.
