A potential coronavirus vaccine developed by China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm) could be ready for public use by the end of this year, Reuters reported.

Sinopharm chairman Liu Jingzhen told state-owned CCTV that the company plans to complete human testing within three months.

The Sinopharm pilot process has entered a Phase III trial with about 15,000 participants and two vaccine strains in the United Arab Emirates.

Another potential vaccine, developed by the Chinese firm Sinovac Biotech using similar technology, has also been made available to participants in the third round of trials in Brazil.
