During a press conference today, economist Vahagn Khachatryan told reporters that Armenia will face a problem with tax collection and added that the country has already reported a 6% decline in tax collection.

According to him, the issue can be solved through the engagement of additional external debt. Khachatryan stated that this will also lead to the growth of public debt.

Talking about the indicators recorded during the first half of this year, Khachatryan stated that they could have been worse, if the government didn’t carry out the 24th state support program and recalled that the latter was already effective starting from April.
