The Special Investigation Service of Armenia has issued a press release stating that a former deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia and the latter’s son are charged with not declaring property in particularly large amounts.

According to Armenian News-NEWS.am, the former deputy is Hrant Davtyan from the Prosperous Armenia Party.

Based on the charge, Davtyan, as deputy of the sixth convocation of the National Assembly of Armenia in 2018-19, on October 1, 2018, failed to include in the declaration on property, incomes and affiliated persons the property in particularly large amounts belonging to him by the right of ownership, including data on apartments and plots of land in the city of Vagharshapat of Armenia’s Armavir Province.

In addition, during preliminary investigation, it was substantiated that his son, as a family member of a declarant official, did not include in his declaration for the year 2018 the data on acquisition of real estate and sale of a car belonging to him by right of ownership during the tax year.

Preliminary investigation into the criminal case continues.
