Former Chairman of the Parliament of Kosovo Jakup Krasniqi has been detained and taken to The Hague where he will face the court since he is charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity, the Special Chamber of Kosovo reported.
The Special Chamber was established in The Hague for examination of the cases regarding the crimes of partisans of Kosovo’s Liberation Army during the war in 2015.
The court is regulated by Kosovo’s legislation, but comprises international judges and prosecutors.
