Armenia ranks 10th in the list of CIS countries on gaps between salary volumes in capital cities and regions, reported CIS Interstate Statistic Committee. The rankings reveal the level of disproportion of income allocation within each country.

Topping the list is Dushanbe (Tajikistan) where salaries in nominal terms for 2010 were on average 97 percent higher compared to regions. Moscow is on second line, with wages 91 percent higher than in regions. Third place went to Kiev, with wages 53 percent higher than in regions. Yerevan holds ninth place in the rankings. The gap between average wage figures in Armenia constitutes 10 percent.
