YEREVAN. – The dialogue between opposition and authority is necessary for people rather than for any political power, ruling Republican MP Gagik Minasyan told at press conference on Friday.
He replied to Armenian first president, opposition leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s opinion that the dialogue is rather necessary for the authority and not the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC).
“The political figure is not right when subordinates people’s interest and pushes forward interest of any given political party. The dialogue is necessary for people and for development of the state. Every political figure or power must primarily think of people,” added Minasyan.
However, the MP did not answer the question whether Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan or an authorized representative will answer directly to the ANC offer.
