YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan’s behavior does not give hopes that a document will be signed following the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents’ meeting in Kazan, MP from ruling “Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Gagik Minasyan told a press conference on Friday.

According to him, Azerbaijani mass media did not make any comments on the recent interview by Personal Representative of the Chairman-in-Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, which proceeded from Nagorno-Karabakh’s interests. The MP stressed that the Azerbaijani society is unable to perceive reality of the Karabakh negotiation process. Moreover, Azerbaijani mass media disseminates information that the proposed document is unacceptable to Azerbaijan, Minasyan noted.

“If Azerbaijan again fails to sign an agreement due to its non-constructive stance, the international community should denounce it. It cherishes hope that the co-chairs will be close to the Armenian side’s viewpoint rather than Azerbaijan’s during preparation of the document,” the MP emphasized.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Presidents of Russia, France and Armenia issued a joint statement on Nagorno-Karabakh within the framework of G8 Summit, on May 26.

“We call upon the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to demonstrate their political will by finalizing the Basic Principles during their upcoming summit in June.  Further delay would only call into question the commitment of the sides to reach an agreement.  Once an agreement has been reached, we stand ready to witness the formal acceptance of these Principles, to assist in the drafting of the peace agreement, and then to support its implementation with our international partners,” the presidents said in a statement.
