YEREVAN. – “President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will speak about the dialogue between the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) in terms of “the incumbent authorities’ moves towards democracy” in his speech at PACE, scheduled for June 22,” 168 Zham newspaper reports citing a reliable source.

“According to the source, Sargsyan will claim that the authorities are ready to make every possible step for an open and public dialogue (they have repeatedly stated about it) and will speak against any step posing a threat to the transparency of this process. In fact the president will refuse the proposal to shift the dialogue to the format of talks. Obviously, the sharp statements by the oppositional Armenian National Congress and the authorities’ constant refusal are an attempt to imitate “confrontation”, the newspaper writes.
