The Finnish authorities have re-imposed a state of emergency in the country due to the worsening of COVID-19 situation, Prime Minister Sanna Marin said on Monday.

According to her, the state of emergency is being introduced on the same grounds as a year ago, TASS reported.

The government also submitted to parliament a proposal to close restaurants, which will affect regions in the phase of accelerating the pandemic and the spread of the coronavirus. It will take several days to review it.

Marin said that in the face of a serious deterioration in the situation in the arsenal of the government there is also such a measure as the introduction of a curfew. It became known last week that a lockdown was announced in the country from 8 to 28 March.
