Armenia’s Minister of Emergency Situations Andranik Piloyan today informed that Director of the Rescue Service Vrezh Gabrielyan will be on pension and expressed gratitude to him for his longstanding service, remarkable contributions and prolific work and granted a letter of appreciation.

Piloyan introduced the heads of territorial and structural subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to the newly appointed director of the Rescue Service, Colonel Armen Gasparyan, who held the position of Head of Department of Police of Yerevan in 2020.

Piloyan added that Gabrielyan had expressed the desire to quit months ago, but had continued to hold his position at Piloyan’s request. Major General Vrezh Gabrielyan, who was appointed Director of the Rescue Service in November 2019, will go on to lecture at the Crisis Management State Academy.
