Considering the improvement of the demographic situation as a priority, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has launched new programs of additional state guarantees and support to large families, which will enable clarify the social status and guarantees of large families, increase the effectiveness of state support being given to them, encourage birth of the fourth and next child in the family. Armenia’s Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan wrote about this on Facebook.

He noted, in particular, that to this end, his ministry has launched the bill on large families, under which state support shall be provide to Armenia’s families with four or more children.

"Thus, this program to encourage having many children will contribute to promote births, increase the number of large families, meet their basic needs, and ensure demographic stability [in Armenia]," Arakelyan added.
